Read The Manual:

You can install the car seat in your vehicle by your seat belt and seat latch. Let’s have a look at both of them.

Install A Car Seat By Using Seat Belt:

1, In some vehicles, you cannot use latch of the seat in your vehicle’s center seat. So, you have to use the seat belt to secure the seat. In such case, make sure your seat latch is already been secured according to your car seat instructions.

2, Your car seat should have an adjustable base. Thus, you can set the car seat from 0 to 45degree inclination according to your vehicle seat.

3, If you do not have any adjusting base and you need some inclination, you can use a rolled up towel instead. Make sure the supplement you are using to have the inclination, does not extend the latching point of your car seat no matter you are using a latch or a seat belt. It is important because the extended part may interfere with the vehicles locking system.

4, Instead of a latch, we are going to use the seatbelt to secure the car seat. Place the car seat in the specific seat of the vehicle. Keep in mind that your seat belt has to be locked in one of the following three ways:

9, Check the tightness. Try to move the car seat side to side or front and back. If you fail to do so, then your car seat is tight enough to allow a safe position for your baby. The front portion of the car seat will move, but that is not our concern. Make sure your car seat is perfectly set where it is attached to your vehicle seat.

10, Check the angle indicator. In different car seat, the angle indicator may be placed in different region. In my seat, it is in the base. The indicator is showing minus green that means the seat is in a proper angle.

11, Now set the top of the seat in your car seat and you will hear a click of perfect locking. Your car seat has been set.

Install A Car Seat Using Latch:

1, In this particular car seat and vehicle, the seat cannot be set in a center seat, so I have selected an outgoing seat of the car. It is very easy to secure the car seat with your vehicle seat with latch.

2, Take you latch attachment up from the seat. Find the latch anchor in your vehicle seats and make sure they have locked properly by hearing the click.

3, Lock it on both sides. Keep in mind that, when you are securing the latch, you are putting the hook downward. The click ensures that the hooks are locked perfectly and won’t come up in any jerk.

4, Now all you have to do is to tighten the latch. Put pressure in the front and back of the car seat with your leg and hand and use the other hand to tight the latch strap.

5, Check again, side to side and front to back and make sure it won’t move. Tighten the strap until the seat is completely rigid.

6, Check the angle indicator again. If it says you are having a good angle, put the top of the seat and make sure it has been locked. A gentle click sound will ensure the locking. If you are still green, they you are okay to go. That is how you will secure the car seat by using latch.

Before installing a car seat in your vehicle, it is recommended to re-check your vehicle seats by a safety technician.  Do not use both the system at a time. Make sure the angle indicator is still green after setting the top of the seat. Set the car seat nice and tight and have a safe ride.
